How the Recommendation Algorithm Works
- Check Current Subscriptions: First, the algorithm checks if you have unwatched shows on services you're already subscribed to.
- Prioritize Existing: If you have unwatched content on subscribed services, no new service is recommended.
- Find Best Value: If no unwatched content exists on subscribed services, it looks at unsubscribed services.
- Count Shows: For each unsubscribed service, it counts how many unwatched shows from your watchlist are available.
- Recommend Top Service: The service with the most unwatched shows is recommended.
- Handle Ties: If multiple services have the same number of shows, preference is given to cheaper services.
Tips for Better Recommendations:
- Add more shows to your watchlist to get better recommendations
- Mark shows as watched when you finish them
- Update your subscription status for accurate recommendations
- Remove services you're not interested in to focus recommendations
